Bernama - Thursday, April 23KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (Bernama) -- Students who succeed in entering Post-SPM Study Programme/Public Institutions of Higher Learning Equivalent for the 2009/2010 academic session will be given a chance to choose one of the two programmes offered to them.

A statement from the Ministry of Higher Education today said successful candidates would be given a choice whether to follow the Matriculation Programme at the Ministry of Education or the Foundation/Diploma Programme at the Public Institutions of Higher Learning.

The statement said the offer for the two programmes followed an agreement reached between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education in September last year to adopt the open offer policy for eligible candidates.

The results of applications into the Public Institutions of Higher Learning under the programme would be announced on May 1 while the results for the Matriculation Programme had been announced on April 17 and the date for registration into the matriculation colleges is May 11.

If a candidate receives both offers, he or she can reject one of the offers and if the candidate has registered for the Matriculation Programme, his or her name will not be processed for consideration in appeal cases for entry into the Public Institutions of Higher Learning.

Candidates who have not received any offer can appeal via e-Rayuan beginning May 1 via the website -- BERNAMA PNH AKT AO
